Amidst the challenging times of the global pandemic, the Kailash Kher Foundation has been a beacon of hope and assistance, spearheading relief efforts across India. From providing essential medical kits and life-saving supplies to offering financial aid for hospitalization and distributing food rations and groceries, we have reached out to diverse communities in need. Notably, our efforts have touched the lives of over 100 families in the Golla Pastoral Community, the Transgender Community, Aravani folk artists, migrant laborers, and construction workers, as well as more than 1000 families in Rajasthan’s Rajsamand constituency. Through innovative and scalable models, we strive to enhance the quality of life for individuals and empower them towards a brighter and more resilient future.

In addition to our relief efforts and community outreach programs, the Kailash Kher Foundation is deeply committed to preserving and promoting the rich cultural heritage of India through our initiatives such as “Bharat Ka Amrit Kalash,” “Nayii Udaan,” and “Mehar Rangat.” “Bharat Ka Amrit Kalash” stands as India’s premier folk music reality show, broadcasted on the Doordarshan Network. With a vision to revive ancient, dwindling art forms of Bharatiya Lok Geet, the show serves as a platform to uplift grassroots artists. Proudly serving as the Prize Partner for this initiative, the Kailash Kher Foundation ensures that these artists receive the recognition and dignity their art forms deserve. “Nayii Udaan,” an annual event launched in 2017 on the occasion of Padma Shri Kailash Kher’s birthday, serves as a catalyst for aspiring musicians and artists, providing them with the boost they need to kickstart their careers. Meanwhile, “Mehar Rangat,” named after Padma Shri Kailash Kher’s father Pt. Mehar Singh Kher, is an annual event held in Delhi to sustain and celebrate the folk traditions that have been passed down through generations. Since their inception in 2017 and 2019 respectively, the Kailash Kher Foundation has proudly supported and associated itself with both “Nayii Udaan” and “Mehar Rangat,” championing the cause of preserving India’s cultural legacy.
